03.13.2010 Junior Olympic Team Training Begins
JUNIOR OLYMPICS COMPETITION TRAINING BEGINS MARCH 2010
In Preparation for the July 2010 USAT Junior Olympics Taekwondo Championship we will begin team training the 2nd Saturday in March. Saturday training will take place at 1:00pm - 3:30pm and will be by application or invitation only.
Make Up Practice Sessions will be implemented when training or student absence conflicts with a tournament.
Competitiors will be required to compete in at least two tournaments between now and July.
Realistic Conditioning and healthy bodyweight goals will also be implemented on an individual basis.
All competitors will be required to arrive and leave the competition venue together as a team and daily practices will be required at the Venue each day of competition.
Team Members will be required order a special team uniform and warm-up jacket.
Team Members may be required to purchase sparring gear that meets the event's requirements.
The cost of Team Training will be $900.00 per competitor. This includes coaches transportation and lodging for the Junior Olympics Event. A down payment will be required at the first practice session. If we have less than 8 team members additional fundraising will be required.
Serious Trainees that wish to train with the Jr. Olympic Team but not compete will be admitted for $300.00
Those interested in participating in a Regional Qualifier to enter the Elite/World Class Division should visit with Mr. Stevens and plan on attending a qualifier a early as March.
To date Omaha Elite Taekwondo's Junior Olympic Training has resulted in nearly 50 Jr. Olympic Medals since 2004.
